2008 has kicked off to a winning start for IT Vision, the company who developed Parago®, a pioneering PC Discovery, Inventory and Software Asset Management System for schools. IT Vision was revealed to be the winner of the Supplier of the Year at the prestigious Education Resources Awards (ERA).
The Education Resources Awards, held at the National Motorcycle Museum on Friday 29 February, celebrate the achievements of educational products and services that help to make teacher's lives easier and provide a greater practical use in the classroom. The Awards, now celebrating its tenth consecutive year, attract entrants from all areas of education.
As the first ever ERA entry for IT Vision, Tim Roots, Director of IT Vision said: “We are honoured to win such a highly regarded award. IT Vision has worked extremely hard to raise awareness and understanding of PC and Software Asset Management in schools. To be recognised by key stakeholders and the teachers themselves is a huge step forward to achieve our goal of providing a solution that exceeds the expectations of all local authorities and schools. We would like to say a huge thank you to all the schools that have provided such positive testimonials and look forward to continuing to work with them.”
Ray Barker, director of BESA said: “This small company deals with the new and innovative sector of software monitoring. The judges were impressed with how they involved teachers in this difficult area through training, newsletters and constant feedback to change the culture of schools”.
IT Vision has produced Parago, a pioneering system to monitor schools' computers via the internet. Scanning computers daily, Parago alerts the School's System Administrator of additional and deleted software titles, ensuring licensing law compliance and peace of mind. The system ensures that schools maximise their IT, software and general asset budget whilst most importantly staying compliant.
